
Roya Zandparsa, DMD, MSc
Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry
Dr. Roya Zandparsa received her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and her specialty training and certificate in Prosthodontics from New York University, College of Dentistry. She also completed several implant courses, and she is familiar with many implant systems.
Presently, Dr. Zandparsa is an Associate Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She has also taught at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and New York University, College of Dentistry. She joined our staff in 2011.
Dr. Zandparsa is trained in all aspects of Prosthodontics, including fixed prosthodontics (crowns and bridges), removable prosthodontics (complete and partial dentures), implant dentistry, as well as esthetic dentistry (veneers, laminates and lumineers). She has received many awards throughout her career, including the Dr. Harold Litvak Fellowship Award in Prosthodontics for being an outstanding scholar and clinician in 1999, and the Adisman Award in Prosthodontics for outstanding performance and overall best achievement in all of the program's requirements in 2001 from New York University, College of Dentistry. She also received the Tufts University Dean's Award for excellence in clinical teaching in 2002 and 2003.
Dr. Zandparsa is involved in many research projects and has published numerous articles and book chapters. She also has lectured and presented research both nationally and internationally. She is a Fellow in the American Prosthodontic Society, American College of Prosthodontists, and International/American Association for Dental Research.
Dr. Zandparsa reviews manuscripts for the Journal of Prosthodontics and the Journal of Oral Rehabilitation. She is a Research Committee Member, Continuing Education Committee Member, and the Faculty Advisor of the American Association of Women Dentists at Tufts University.
